VEHARI, March 13: A woman and her two children were drowned on Tuesday night as their car fell into a canal near Thingi.

Abdul Qayyum of Chak 77/15-L, his wife Rubina Bibi and children Ramazan and Mehreen were going from Chowk Jamal to Wajianwala by their car. Near Chak 60/WB, Lal Shah Darbar, their car developed some fault. Qayyum pushed the car to start its engine while his wife took the driver’s seat. The car suddenly started, picked up the speed and went out of her control and plunged into the Sidhnai Mailsi Link Canal.

Consequently, Rubina and her children drowned in the canal. Police are going into the matter.
