KARACHI, Aug 24: Eight ships carrying containers, steel and to load ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Five ships, Hyundai Highway, Hayley Nadhi to unload and load containers, Beluga Fascination Pan Leader to unload and load general cargo and Lalazar to offload crude oil were berthed after the departure of three.

The departed ships were led by Y.M. Fortune, Hyundai Highway and Beluga Fascination, while Lalazar, Nikat, Corin Thaikos and Asian Queen are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active as the total tonnage rose to 0.117m tons comprising 18,509 tons of export cargo and 98,381 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Eagle MilWaukee to load naphtha, Jo Oak to load ethanol, Soon Fu, Oel Spirit, Western Star, Wan Hai-303 and Calvin P Titus with containers and Fatima Ana with steel scrap.
