KARACHI, Aug 23: Three ships to unload general cargo and load containers were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

In the meantime, three more ships carrying containers, diesel oil and chemicals also arrived the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy was maintained at 60pc as seven ships, Pacheco, Maersk Africa, Maersk Montana, Sinai, Anna-a, Beluga Flirtation and CE Pacific, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, seeds, general cargo and crude oil.

A cargo volume of 68,037 tons comprising 53,179 tons of import and 14,858 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Pacheco and Nedlloyd Africa left the port while CE Pacific and Maersk Nontana were due to depart.
