Two dacoits arrested in Jacobabad

SUKKUR, March 12: Two dacoits, M. Siddiq Chandio and Nizamuddin Maher, were arrested in Jacobabad city after an exchange of fire between the police and dacoits on Monday.

The dacoits who were astride a motorcycle stopped it in front of the shop of one Narain Das. They then stole Rs4,000 from him and fled.

A police party which was on routine patrolling started chasing the dacoits. Soon an encounter took place which continued for half an hour. Finally, both the dacoits surrendered themselves to the police.

Two TT pistols, Rs10,000 in cash, and the stolen motorcycle were recovered from their possession. According to the police, both the dacoits have confessed to commit dozens of crimes.
