PTA advice on PCO charges

LAHORE, March 12: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has advised people not to pay more than Rs4 per unit at pay card public call offices for local, national and international calls.

The PTA’s Punjab director told APP here on Tuesday that on subscribers’ complaints, authority chairman Shahzada Alam Malik had ordered a strict action against the PCOs charging more than the prescribed rate.

Now the PTA has appealed to the people to point out the PCOs involved in overcharging. He said any person could lodge a complaint in this regard at the following telephone numbers:

He said if a complaint after inquiry was found correct, the licence of the operator would be suspended or terminated.
