PESHAWAR, Aug 18: The All-Parties Democratic Movement (APDM) has decided to hold a public meeting in Peshawar on Sept 6, according to a press release. The component parties of the newly-formed political alliance met at the Al-Markaz-i-Islami here on Friday evening. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Awami National Party, Jamaat-i-Islami, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and other political groups.

The meeting decided to constitute an organising committee to finalise arrangements for the Sept 6 rally. ANP provincial secretary-general Mian Iftikhar Hussain was nominated as head of the committee.

The press release said there was complete understanding among the component parties of the APDM regarding the public rally and they expressed the confidence that the show would be a success. The organising committee would meet on Aug 19 to finalise arrangements for the rally, said the handout.
