QUETTA, March 12: The Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD), Balochistan, will hold a public meeting here on March 23, in connection with the restoration of democracy in the country.

This decision was taken at a meeting of ARD provincial heads with the provincial president of the alliance, Khud-i-Noor, here the other day. It also reviewed a proposal for central heads’ meeting of the ARD parties in Quetta on April 17.

Expressing dismay over the political and economic situation being faced by the country, the meeting observed that increasing unemployment, economic disorder, deteriorating political, and law and order situation was dangerous for the integrity of the country.The participants criticized the foreign policy of Musharraf government, and described it as a complete failure.

The alliance strongly condemned the US and Isreali policies, and termed them a threat to international peace. It also flayed Israeli aggression against the Palestinians, and urged the international community, specially the Muslim countries, to help stop attacks on Palestinians settlements.

Flaying killings of the Muslims in the Indian State of Gujarat, the meeting demanded of the Indian leadership to play an effective role in stopping attacks on the Muslims in India.

The ARD also took notice of raise in the fee of Balochistan University, and described this move as a decision to deprive the poor students of Balochistan of higher education.
