KARACHI, Aug 18: Three ships carrying containers and edible oil were accommodated berths at QICT and Multi Purpose Terminal during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday.

Meanwhile, another container ship also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy stood at 60pc as six ships, KIA Waleed, Maersk Novazzano, Sinal, Shad Wan Island, Liquid Fortune and Multan, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, edible oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 62,720 tons comprising 32,092 tons of import and 30,628 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was slow as only KIA Waleed left the port while Maersk Novazzano and Liquid Fortune were expected to depart.
