Postal official held for fraud

MUZAFFARGARH, Aug 13: A National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team arrested a postal department employee in a Rs4million fraud. Khangarah General Post Office Assistant Postmaster Talib Hussain Leghari had withdrawn the money illegally from savings accounts during a five years period.

The action was taken on the complaint of Sajjad and his wife who deposited Rs 1.6 million in their savings account two years ago. They said that when they went to the GPO to withdraw their money six months ago, they were told that there was no money in their accounts. Later, Sajjad and some other accountholders moved the NAB, which investigated the matter and arrested Leghari.
