MANDI BAHAUDDIN, Aug 12: City police lodged a first information report on Sunday against the health district executive officer (EDO) and the principal of the nursing school on the directions of Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. The chief justice took suo moto action after the media reported that nurse students were forced to dance in private functions to entertain government officers. The students complained the principal fleeced money from them on various pretexts.

According to the FIR, applicant Niaz Ali told police that Principal Nazli Saleem forced nurse students to dance in front of EDO Dr Pervaiz Nazir Tarar in private functions. Dr Muhammad Akram, spouse of the principal, also attended such functions. The principal also extorted money from the students through house-keeper Tasawwar Bibi. Police sealed the FIR with no arrest.
