RAWALPINDI, Aug 7: A batch of 45 illegal Pakistani immigrants deported by Turkish authorities arrived at the Islamabad International Airport on Tuesday, raising the number of deportees to several hundreds since the alarm about human smuggling was raised by the Pakistani mission in Athens in May.

A senior immigration official told Dawn that the deportees returned on board the Pakistan International Airline’s flight PK-762.

All the deportees were handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency’s passport cell for further interrogation.
