LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), Aug 1: Three people were killed when a domestic dispute turned violent and family members used firearms against each other in a house in Bara on Tuesday.

The incident took place in the Shalobar area where a verbal brawl in the house of Haji Stori Khan took an ugly turn and family members used firearms, killing three people in the process, including a child.

The clash left two brothers, Abdullah and Esal Khan, and their minor cousin Ibrahim fatally wounded.

They were taken to a Peshawar hospital but none of them survived.

Meanwhile, authorities at the Torkham border on Tuesday averted a sabotage plan by defusing a powerful explosive device planted in an oil tanker.

The driver of the oil tanker informed local authorities after spotting a suspected device hidden in a cavity of his vehicle. Immediately, the Khasadar force cordoned off the entire area and removed the explosive device from the vehicle. At that time more the 50 oil tankers were parked in the parking lot near the border.

Nearly 10 oil tankers were completely destroyed when a rocket fired by militants hit the same vicinity a month ago.
