KARACHI, Aug 1: Work on water supply line being laid for Clifton and Lyari areas under the K-III Project will be completed within a week after which Lyari will start getting an additional six million gallon water on a daily basis.

This was stated in a briefing given to KWSB Additional Vice-Chairman Imamuddin Shahzad during his inspection visit to Old Sabzi Mandi area where a 54-inch-dia line is being laid.

He was told that the project would also benefit tail-enders who had been experiencing acute shortage of water for many years.

It was stated that Clifton would start getting an additional eight million gallon water on a daily bsis within the next 45 days.

Mr Shahzad directed the officials concerned that the pace of work be geared up by working in three shifts.—APP
