Ashraf spurs Lahore ‘B’

LAHORE,  March  8: An unbeaten 81 by Ashraf Ali propelled Lahore Blues to a six-wicket win over Faisalabad in a Pool ‘C’ match of the National One-day Cricket Championship at LCCA ground Friday.

Set to a target of 202, the home team reeled off the runs in 41.4 overs for the loss of four wickets.

Ashraf belted 11 boundaries off a 110-ball knock after Lahore Blues lost the first three wickets for 35.

Earlier, batting first, Faisalabad’s main scorers were Mohammad Saleem (53, six fours, 85 balls) and wicket-keeper Mohammad Salman (64 not out, four fours, 76 balls).
