FAISALABAD, March 8: The Water and Sanitation Agency has disconnected over 100 illegal connections of water supply and drainage.
The Wasa managing director has constituted special teams to check water supply arrangements and resolve sewerage problems in the city.
The teams visited a number of city localities and bazaars and found over 100 people having illegal connections of water supply and drainage. The team members disconnected these connections and sent the cases to the court.
According to a Wasa spokesman, a target-oriented campaign will be launched for the recovery of Wasa dues. Final notices have already been issued and defaulters will face legal action in case they fail to pay their arrears within due date.
