KARACHI, July 17: The German cultural centre in the city, Goethe Institut, completes its 50 years in the city. To celebrate the occasion, three events have been planned by the management of the institute.The events include an award giving ceremony of the writer's competition where poems and short stories of young writers from all over the country will be presented.

The jury has selected 20 pieces out of 600 entries. The ceremony will be held on Aug 18.A German-Iranian dance theatre, ‘Return to Sender’, will be held on Aug 31.

The Signum Quartet will bring classical string music to Karachi, performed by young musicians from Germany, on Sept 3.—APP
