FBR conferences begin on Monday

ISLAMABAD, July 12: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has convened first quarterly conferences of its field officers from next week. An official announcement issued here on Thursday said that the conferences to be headed by FBR chairman M. Abdullah Yusuf, would start from Monday.

The conference of collectors of customs and collectors (Appeals) would be held on July 16, the moot of collectors of sales tax and collectors (Appeals) on July 17 and of regional commissioners of income tax (RCsIT), director generals of large taxpayers units (LTUs) and regional tax offices (RTOs) and commissioners of income tax and appeals on July 18.

During the three-day deliberations, the FBR officials would review overall performance of commissionerates and collectorates during the last financial year and evolve strategy for achieving the targets set for this fiscal year.
