PESHAWAR, June 20: Police on Wednesday arrested a councillor after a woman alleged that he had illegally occupied her land and beaten her up.

Gulshada, a resident of Najoi in Wadpaga locality, told Chamkani police that Said Alam had occupied her land. Police arrested the councillor, and he will be produced before a court on Thursday.—Bureau Report
