KARACHI, March 4: Founder leader of National Democratic Party Omar Asghar Khan has expressed dissatisfaction over the state of judiciary and foreign policy, saying that major transformations were needed to get the status of a responsible country for Pakistan.

“Drastic improvements are inevitable in many areas, especially in judicial system of the country, in an organized manner to enable it deciding the cases within a short span of time,” he added.

Speaking at a “Meet the Press” programme at Karachi Press Club on Monday, Mr Asghar said India and Pakistan should bring improvement in their foreign policies and evolve flexible strategies to provide protection and security to the people of South Asia.

Commenting on his resignation, he said he resigned due to hurdles created by the bureaucracy in implementation of labour laws.

“Capital amounting to Rs60-70 billion recovered by the National Accountability Bureau from corrupt elements should be spent on development projects relating to construction of roads, bridges and other major projects like Liyari expressway and circular railway,” he maintained.—PPI
