KARACHI, June 12: The Additional District Sessions Judge, South, Farzana Iqbal, sentenced five brothers to seven-year rigorous imprisonment on Tuesday.

The five brothers, Mattiullah, Alam Khan, Ahmed Khan, Azam Khan and Saifullah, were awarded seven-year rigorous imprisonment in the case.

Mattiullah, son of Haji Abdullah Khan, who was in police custody, told reporters that his opponents had registered what he described a fake case against all the five brothers on October 24, 1995.

“In fact, Aurangzeb and his sons had killed our brother Habibullah Niazi over a petty issue and on the other hand they had also got a fake case registered against us under sections 142, 147, 148, 149, 324 of the Pakistan Penal Code with Eidgah police,” he said.

He said his opponent Himat, son of Aurangzeb was awarded life imprisonment in the murder case and two others Munsif and Khan Muzafar were awarded five-year terms each.
