MIRPURKHAS: Former DIG released

MIRPURKHAS June 7: Former DIG operations of Mirpurkhas, Rana Salimullah Khan, was released on Thursday night from the district prison after Sindh High Court granted him bail a day ago in a case of trespassing lodged against him at Khipro police station.

He was already granted bail by the court of second additional and sessions judge of Mirpurkhas in a case filed with town police station. Mr Khan was arrested by Mirpurkhas police on May 14 in Islamabad where he had gone to attend Supreme Court proceedings on Mannu Bheel case.

He was produced the following day in the court of second additional sessions judge Mirpurkhas who sent him to jail.

Dozens of people accorded him a warm welcome when he emerged from the district prison.

ARRESTED: Phuladyoon police arrested four people including two policemen on Thursday night on charges of attacking people belonging to Meghwar community in Meghwar Para and injuring three including two women.
