KARACHI, June 7: A dozen ships carrying containers, crude oil and steel scrap are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. But unlike the previous days berthing activity at the wharves was on the lower side owing partly to delayed arrivals because of high tide in the open seas.
Two ships, Oel Victory to unload and load containers and Oriental Rose, a tanker were berthed after the departure of APL Brisbane, and Harmony.
Oel Victory, Sea Harvest, Oriental Rose, Swat, Fanta, Adrejni and Caribbean Carrier are due to sail out on Friday.
A total volume of 79,377 tons comprising 14,556 tons of export cargo and 64,821 tons of import tonnage was handled on Thursday.
The following ships are due on Firday; Peterpaul, Maddona, both tankers, Y.M.moon, Kota Hakim, Eric G. Gibson, Corin Thaikos, Hyundai Sprinter, Kota Gunawan, Iran Hesabi, and Ruhunu Pura, with containers, Islamabad, with general cargo and Evdoxia, with steel scrap.
