RIYADH, June 5: Three Al Qaeda extremists, including Saudi nationals Abu Ussaid al-Falluji, suspected of being the group’s link to the outside world, and Abu Abdullah Al Najdi, have been arrested in Saudi Arabia. The third, whose name was not mentioned is a foreigner.
A statement issued by the interior ministry said the arrests were part of a crackdown on terrorism.
It said al-Falluji was involved in “preparing terrorist operations and encouraging people to take part in them and contacting several entities directly to seek funding and help in carrying out (operations) in the homeland.”
