Man dies in road accident

ISLAMABAD, June 2: An unidentified person, around 60 years of age, was killed after being hit by a vehicle near sector G-8/4, in the Margalla police station area, a police spokesman said on Saturday.

The man was critically injured when a car (LA-954), driven by Babar Aslam, hit him. He was rushed to a hospital but could not survive. His body is being kept in the mortuary.

Meanwhile, Asad Hafeez lodged the report with the Women police station that his maid had stolen gold ornaments, mobile phones and Rs180,000 in cash from his residence in G-6/3.

The police are investigating.

In another incident, 10 wine bottles were recovered while checking a car near ‘Jhugi Syedan,’ in the Tarnol police station area.

The three accused Kashif, Tahir and Ikram have been arrested by the police.—APP
