KARACHI, June 1: Normal shipping activity was witnessed at the port where two ships Wattiyah and Oriental Miho to load, unload containers and chemicals were accommodated on berths at QICT and Engro Vopak terminal, respectively, during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release.

Meanwhile, three more ships arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy remained at 60 per cent at the port where six ships occupied berths to load, unload containers, edible oil, fertiliser, furnace oil, chemicals and coal, respectively, during the period under review.

The port handled cargo volume of 56,139 tons comprising 49,101 tons import cargo and 7,038 tons export cargo inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 941 TEUs during the same period.

Three ships sailed out on Friday.
