PESHAWAR, Oct 20: The Zila Council on Friday condemned the provocative and uncalled for activities of the Indian forces along the eastern border.

Through a resolution adopted at the session, presided over by Khalil Ahmad, said: “We warn the enemy not to be misled by any adventurism.”

The people of Pakistan in general and that of the NWFP in particular were ready to fight along with their forces for the integrity and solidarity of their country, it added.

The resolution was jointly moved by Israrullah, Nawab Khattak and Ibadatullah. The resolution was adopted unanimously by the council.

It advised the people not to resort to damaging during protest rallies and demonstrations and hold their patience and tolerance at this critical juncture.

The house also discussed law and order situation and development schemes undertaken in the district under Khushhal Pakistan Programme.

The issue of faulty CT scan machine at LRH also came under discussion. It was suggested that the machine be repaired out of the Zakat and Baitul Maal fund.

The meeting criticized the entry test results held for admission to the medical colleges and alleged that results were manipulated. They demanded strict action against the officials involved in this illegal practice.

The council also demanded construction of an industrial solid waste treatment plant in Hayatabad Industrial Estate to stop polluting the river water.—APP
