ATTOCK, March 1: The Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC), Kamra, higher-ups have removed Mirage Rebuild Factory’s civilian gazetted officer for irregularities and appointed him welfare officer, it is learnt on Friday.

Sources said the officials unveiled the irregularity some two weeks back and held inquiry against CGO Aslam who inducted his four blue-eyed boys and dropped the deserving for the posts of engine fitter and metal workers by tampering with the approved list.

Another complaint was lodged against the CGO in which it was alleged that the official had been involved in cases of embezzlement in TA/DA and relief amounts of late employees in the past, they concluded.

INQUIRY: A high level inquiry has been ordered against Union Council No 1 Councillor Tahir Awan for grabbing land and other fraudulent activities.

Dozens of affectees, including Shakoor Azeem, Muhammad Sarfraz, Muhammad Ashraf Khan, Ghulam Murtaza, Maruf Shah and Attock Property Association President Haseenud Deen Baig, lodged the written complaint to the president against the councillor.

Rawalpindi Corps Commander Lt-Gen Arif Hassan and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman, a couple of days back, unveiled the cases of land grabbing, fraud and other such activities of the councillor with the connivance of bureaucrats.

Sources said Attock District Coordination Officer (DCO) Muhammad Asif Khan appointed District Officer (revenue) Asadul Aslam to be an inquiry officer to investigate and submit report in a couple of days.
