LONDON, May 26: English cricket county Nottinghamshire's plans for a new 8.2 million pounds stand at Trent Bridge were approved by borough council.
West Wing and Parr Stand will be replaced, increasing capacity of Test venue from 15,000 to 17,500. Permanent floodlights and a new block which will house match officials, a replay screen and electronic scoreboard are also part of development.
Work will begin in September and Notts hope to have it completed in time for first international there in 2008. —Agencies
