Karachi strike postponed

KARACHI, May 23: The Pakhtoon Action Committee on Wednesday deferred till June 8 a three-day strike it had called from Friday, saying that the Sindh government had given assurances to meet its demands.

The PAC said that taking into account the appeals from different quarters and assurances from Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan it had decided to postpone the strike.—PPI
