KARACHI, May 2: Sindh Minister for Health Syed Sardar Ahmad has said that the government is determined to raise workers’ standard of living for which it has taken every possible step. In this context, he referred to the moves towards workers’ welfare and creation of job opportunities.
Speaking at a function organised for the handing over of appointment letters to certain workers of Dadu Sugar Mills, he said the government was doing its utmost to absorb surplus employees of mills in various provincial departments.
The minister stressed on better relationship between employers and workers to ensure a fast pace of development in the country.
Labour leader Nasir Hayat and other representatives of the mill’s workers expressed their gratitude to the chief minister and health minister for absorbing their surplus colleagues in government departments.
