RAWALPINDI, May 1: Representatives of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) have asked the government to keep a constant vigil on fake and unregistered pharmaceutical companies.
Inaugurating a drug store here on Tuesday, RCCI President Hassan Sarosh said local pharmaceutical companies were preparing medicines of international standard and the demand of their products was growing in the international market day by day.
He said there were as many as 48 pharmaceutical companies operating in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, adding that the government should safeguard their interests by reining in the illegal business of fake companies.—A Reporter
