HARIPUR, Feb 27: District Coordination Officer Capt (retd) Jehanzeb Khan has urged the government departments of the district to utilize the available resources to solve the problems of the people.

Mr Khan, who recently replaced the outgoing DCO of Haripur, Mazhar Ali Khan, said at a meeting the other day that the government departments were facing numerous problems due to the local government system.

The meeting, held at the office of the DCO, was attended by the heads of the district departments.

The DCO asked the officials not to make the public suffer on the pretext of the complications most of which had been removed in the past six months.

He called upon the officials to perform their duties honestly and with dedication and redress the grievances of the people.

Assuring the officials of his full support and cooperation, he stressed the need for a better coordination among the departments.

Mr Khan directed the works department to ensure completion of all the development schemes within the stipulated time so that the people could feel a pleasant change and be able to trust the local government system.
