Police recovered the remains of all victims from the courtyard of the house, and sent them for post-mortem to know the actual cause of their death as accused Adnan kept changing his statement on the issue.

The victims have been identified as father Muhammad Younus (50), mother Hamida Mahmood (45), BA student Sadaf Nimrin (20), FA student Sadia (18), Sobia (8), Farhan (16) and Arslan (12).

New Multan police had arrested Rana Adnan, a student of FSc in Government College, Bosan Road, along with his accomplice, Munawar Saeed, for killing a widow on Tuesday. Saadat Ali Shah, SHO of New Multan police, said conflicting motives of the mass murder had made police careful.
