NEW YORK, April 20: World 100m champion Lauryn Williams of the US and Olympic 200m champion Veronica Campbell of Jamaica will meet in a 100m feature here at a Grand Prix meet, the organisers announced on Thursday.

The sprint showdown on June 2 will send Williams, who also won world gold on the 4x100m relay and a 2004 Olympic silver medal, against Campbell, who won Athens Olympics gold in the 200m and 4x100m relay as well as 100m bronze.

Tyson Gay and training partner Wallace Spearmon, a pair of US sprint stars, lead the men's line-up. Gay will run the 100 while world championship 200m runner-up and US 200m champion Spearmon will race at 200m. –AFP
