LAHORE, April 17: Colt of a high pedigree and winner of four races, Tipu Sultan is expected to make full recovery from last month's arthroscopic surgery for the removal of a bone chip from his fetlock.

Jointly owned by Syed Parvaiz Hussain Shah and Munir Dar, this colt was inflicted with some bone growth in the fetlock behind pastern-joint which was detected when he ran off the frame in the Pakistan Derby on March 4.

The colt from Cisco Wells out-of Fanim, Tipu Sultan, in spite of his fetlock trouble won a cup race on March 18 but his problem deteriorated in the process and the owners decided to go for immediate surgery.

The colt is now improving and is expected to make full recovery by next month.—AG
