NAWABSHAH, April 12: Members of the District Bar Association (DBA) Nawabshah boycotted the courts and continued their token hunger strike for the reinstatement of Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry, on Thursday.

Secretary DBA Ziaul Hassan Lanjar told Dawn the association will completely boycott court proceedings on Friday and will take out a rally — the day of Supreme Judicial Council hearing. Lawyers, he said will also attend the address of Chief Justice at Sukkur High Court on April 14.

Activists of Awami Tehrik also observed a token hunger strike outside the press club. They demanded his immediate reinstatement.
