MUZAFFARABAD, Feb 25: The local police on Monday arrested a woman, her father and three relatives for being allegedly involved in the murder of her husband, Raja Waheed.

The body of Waheed, 27, who had gone missing in November last year, was spotted and recovered from the Jhelum River near Moran Wala Chattar village, 25km of here, on Sunday.

His mother lodged a report with the New Civil Secretariat police on Feb 20, suspecting that her son might have been killed by her daughter-in-law and four other relatives.

The police arrested the woman, her father, Younas Khan, and relatives Nadir Khan, Ayub Khan and Ilyas Khan in their homes in the Dalai village.

According to SHO Shabbir Chohan, the cause of the murder could possibly be the illicit relations of Waheed’s wife with one of the accused.
