KARACHI, March 2: Nine ships carrying raw jute, steel and chemicals are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Shalamar, to unload crude oil, Tower Bridge, Iran Hesabi, Oel Aishwarya, APL Dalian to unload and load containers and CMB Talent to offload coal were berthed on Friday.
Three ships, Corin Thaikos, Hyundai Highway and Y.M. Fortune departed on Friday, while Iran Hesabi, Shalamar, APL Dalian, Arissbe, Coral, Jin Ace, and Oel Aishwarya are due to sail out on Saturday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total volume of 0.127m tons comprising 20,550 tons of export cargo, including 4,397 tons of cement and 0.106m tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Saturday; AlMarwah, with chemicals, Banga Lanka, with raw jute, Malakand, with steel, Gallant Wave, Bunga Kenari, Comorin Pride, Mol Ability, and Hayley Nadhi, with containers, and Zhong Shan Men, with general cargo.
