HARIPUR, Feb 21: Responding to a long-standing demand of the people the provincial government has agreed in principle to set up another degree college for women in the city. The required financial resources would be allocated in the next fiscal budget.

This was disclosed by District Nazim, Dr Raja Amer Zaman, in his speech as chief guest at a function held at Sintec Systems Institute of Information Technology, here the other day.

The District Council passed a unanimous resolution demanding establishment of another degree college for women in Haripur. The Nazim said it was a legitimate demand as girls have been facing numerous difficulties in admissions to degree classes in the only girls college.
