KARACHI: Clash at KU condemned

Published March 1, 2007

KARACHI, Feb 28: The Imamia Students’ Organisation on Wednesday condemned the students’ clash at the University of Karachi and observed that it was a part of global conspiracy being hatched against Muslims.

Addressing a joint press conference, ISO leaders Ali Naqvi, Zahid Hussain, Raza Abidi and others said the ISO and the Islami Jamiat-i-Talaba clashed on the instigation of some unscrupulous and external elements. They said the basic reason of the clash between the two students’ organisations was religious hatred which was being created deliberately by anti-Islam elements to divide Muslims.

They said the ISO had informed the administration and the IJT about the presence of some extremists in the university and warned if they were not checked, the situation could aggravate.—Staff Reporter
