Militant killed, 3 policemen injured

TANK, Feb 26: A militant was killed and his accomplice wounded during a clash with police here on Monday after a gang had taken away the city’s fire engine from Wazirabad locality in broad daylight, police said.

Witnesses said three policemen were injured when the militants hurled a hand grenade on them. One of them was taken to a hospital in Dera Ismail Khan in precarious condition.

The incident mounted tension in the city, forcing closure of shops.
