KARACHI, Feb 20: The Sindh IT Department has given final shape to projects of smart budget hotels in Sukkur, under E-government project.

This was stated by Sindh IT Adviser Noman Saigol, while talking to District Nazim Sukkur Syed Nasir Hussain Shah at his office, said a handout issued here on Tuesday.

DCO Sukkur Shafiq Khoso, Secretary IT Yahya Waliullah, Sindh Additional Secretary IT Dr Asif Zaman Khan, officials of IT department and district government Sukkur were also present.

The meeting gave the E-government project a final shape, under which offices of district government Sukkur would be electronically linked. In this regard tender would be issued soon.

During meeting representative of smart budget hotel chain Najeeb Zafar gave presentation. It also identified land for setting up a hotel.

It was told that Smart Budget Hotel project would cost Rs1billion, facilitating jobless youths with employment opportunities. A hotel management institution would also be established which will increase number of skilled people. A presentation on project of installation of close circuit cameras was also given.—PPI
