Hyderabad eye first success

HYDERABAD, Feb 20: Hyderabad needed only 16 runs with three wickets to achieve their first victory in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Grade-I Cricket Championship after an enthralling third day’s play in the match against Rest of Sindh at Niaz Stadium here Wednesday.

After conceding a first innings lead of 108, Hyderabad hit back to rout Sindh for only 76 in their second innings with medium-pacers Raees Amjad taking six for 35 and Irshad Notkani four for 41.

Set 185 for victory, Hyderabad reached 169 for seven at draw of stumps. Iqbal Shaikh top-scored with 55 off 108 balls.
