KARACHI: Iranian reception

KARACHI, Feb 12: Iranian Consul-General Syed Musa Hosseini held a reception on Monday evening at the consulate general to celebrate the 28th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic revolution.

The consul general who cut a cake talking informally to the Press said Pakistan Iran ties were time tested and he knew from the bottom of his heart that the people of Pakistan would stand with Iran should the need arise.

He said Tehran appreciated the Pakistan government initiative to mediate in the crisis in the region and their efforts were well received and appreciated by Iran.

Sindh Chief Minister Arbab Rahim, Deputy City Nazim Nasreen Jalil, former nazim Niamatullah Khan, Sardar Sherbaz Mazari, Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi, Ghinwa Bhutto, besides members of the diplomatic corps attended the reception.—By A Reporter
