KARACHI, Feb 12: Five ships carrying containers, general cargo and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where 11 ships, Soon Fu, Global Prosperity, Mol Ability, Athos-1 and Oel Esteem to unload and load containers, Nancy to load clinkers, San San to load rice, Golden Win to unload and load general cargo, Breezy Victoria, Oriental Rose and Johar, tankers were berthed during the last two days.

A dozen vessels, notably Star-1, Kerasia, Iran Babbaei, Gallant Wave, Oriental Rose, Y.N. Energy, Kuo Cheng, Nordwoge, Sunrise, Lihai, Golden Prosperity and Soon Fu departed on Sunday, while Athos-1, Johar,Mol Ability, Golden Win, China Star and Multi-Trader are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 0.231m tons comprising 75,254 tons of export cargo including 16,842 tons of clinkers and 9,045 tons of rice and 0.156m tons of import cargo was handled during the last two days.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Lalazar, oil tanker, APL Jeddah, Iran Hesabi, with containers, Sea Princess, to load 19,000 tons of clinkers and African Falcon, with general cargo.
