Aged man dies on road

KASUR, Feb 20: An aged man was knocked to death by a tractor-trolley near Chak 32, Changa Manga on Wednesday.

Reports revealed Muhammad Sharif was on his way to Chak 33 on a bicycle when the trolley (OKB-1468) laden with sugar cane knocked him down. He died on the spot.

Police have registered a case.

ARRESTED: The Chunian police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested seven gamblers from Mai Rabo.

On a tip-off, the team raided the locality and arrested seven including Bashir Ahmad. It also took into custody the stake money worth thousands of rupees.

Investigation is underway.

ABDUCTED: A girl was abducted in Chak 22, Rukanpura, Pattoki on Wednesday.

According to details, Liaquat Ali and his two accomplices took away Abdul Sattar’s daughter with cash and gold ornaments worth thousands of rupees.
