PESHAWAR, Feb 20: A musical concert was held here at the PTV centre on Tuesday night to raise funds for artiste Shabbir Khan. Many artistes performed and received thunderous applause from the audience.

Besides other artistes, performance of Alamzeb Mujahid was excellent.

He sang some Pushto songs joined by many from the audience who danced to his renditions. Mujahid is popular among PTV viewers.

Another local model and artist, Sana Azeem, enthralled the audience. She danced to fast beats drawing long applause from the audience. Zeeshan, a child singer, also earned laurels by singing some heart-warming Pushto songs.

The  performances of Abid Gumrani, Rupa, Shabbir  Khan, Abdullah, Tauheedullah Qureshi, Arshad Taqi and Imran were also liked by the audience. The presence of senior PTV artists Masood Akhtar and Tariq Khan was also appreciated, both of them had come a long way from Lahore to take part in the benefit show of their junior companion.

Towards the end, a young amateur singer, Sitara also made her presence felt by singing Noor Jehan’s songs in somewhat very professional style.
