PATTAYA (Thailand), Feb 8: Top seed Marion Bartoli of France slumped out of the Pattaya Open on Thursday, outplayed by Slovakia's Martina Sucha.

Bartoli lacked consistency against Sucha, losing 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 after an unconvincing first-round win over Nuria Llagostera Vives on Tuesday.

Nicole Pratt followed her victory over second-seeded Russian Maria Kirilenko on Tuesday by defeating young American Vania King 6-2, 6-4.

Aiko Nakamura was beaten 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 by Israel's Tzipora Obziler, and sixth seed Gisela Dulko of Argentina advanced when Australia's Alicia Molik had to default with a left hamstring injury.
