Masked robbers kill man

SHEIKHUPURA, Feb 8: Five masked robbers shot an employee of Pakistan Steel Mills dead in Sahoki Mallian on resistance on Thursday morning.

Aslam Masih had come with the marriage party of his elder brother Pitras on Wednesday. After the ceremonies, the guests were ready to go back to Karachi on Thursday when robbers barged into the house of Samah, the brother-in-law of Pitras. The intruders shot Aslam dead when he put up resistance and took the dowry, ornaments and other valuables worth thousands of rupees. Saddar police are investigating.

ARRESTED: Saddar police claimed to have arrested four proclaimed offender involved in 90 highway robberies.

They are; Arif Butt, Tariq, Sadiq and Sabir.

Police claimed that goods worth Rs5 million were recovered from their possession.

Meanwhile, Saddar police claimed the arrest of three criminals and recovered cattle worth Rs1.5 million from their possession.

The arrested outlaws are Munawar, Sakhawat and Amjad.
