PESHAWAR, Feb 8: A Turkish organisation has completed the construction of schools for children of the earthquake-hit areas, where most of the government schools collapsed in the Oct 8, 2005 earthquake.

The Turkish Light House had launched a project of constructing two schools each in Sande Sar and Chitta Batta, one in Athar Shesha and one academic block of the Hazara University, said an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release here on Thursday.

Mangla Corps Commander Lt-Gen Sajjad Akram during a visit to Mansehra lauded the role of the Turkish organisation for providing education and civic facilities to the people of affected areas. He was given a briefing by Brigadier Kamran Zia on various aspects of the rehabilitation and reconstruction phase.
